The simple question types on the previous page can be collected into 'compound questions' - or group questions. There are a
number of reasons to do this:
- Appearance. The group of questions maybe be related, such as 'about you' - in which case a single question number looks a lot better.
- Randmonisation. This is covered on the next page, but basically the order of questions within the group may be randomised to
remove any potential bias from respondents.
- Conditional. If you have a set of questions that should only be displayed in a previous question has a specific answer then it's easier to put those questions
into a group and make the whole group conditional.
